Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work at Ije. It restates and forms part of clause 5 of our Terms and Conditions. "Ije" is a service operated by Raba Technologies (BN 3327509), the name you will see on our account.

1. What you pay us for. The ₦10,000 curation fee secures your seat at one dinner and covers the cost of organising it: matching you to a table and coordinating with the venue. Your meal is separate. You order and pay for your own food and drinks directly at the restaurant on the night.

2. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the dinner. We refund your curation fee in full, or hold it for the next dinner if you would rather. Just write to us.

3. If you cancel within 48 hours of the dinner. The fee is not refundable, because by that point we have committed the table and the venue on the basis that you would attend.

4. If we cannot seat you. We invite more people than there are seats, and seats are allocated in the order payments are received. If your payment arrives after the table is full, we hold your fee for the next dinner or refund it in full, whichever you prefer.

5. If Ije cancels. If we cancel a dinner, reschedule it in a way you cannot make, or are unable to seat you after you have paid, we refund your curation fee in full.

6. How refunds are paid. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 7 business days of our confirming the refund.

7. How to cancel or request a refund. Write to hello@ije.life, or message us on WhatsApp if that is how we invited you. Tell us your name and the dinner date.

8. No-shows. Not attending without notice is treated as a cancellation within 48 hours: the fee is not refunded, and it is recorded against your profile.
